Watch Trinity Camerata Play ...

Very well done one and all.  Yesterday's concert went very well.  Adelia certainly wowed the audience and players alike with a more than worthy standing ovation.  The Mendelssohn was truly awesome!  Pats on the back all round for the great job we did on the Beethoven, nerves were running high before that one, but with Sam's great direction we got away with it!

Thank you to our supporters, without you we wouldn't be able to continue. For those who couldn't make it and for orchestra members who would like to hear what the audience hears there is a video clip of us (well mainly Sam) performing Don Giovanni.  We don't sound half bad!

Have a lovely Summer Break - see you next term!

Did you like what you just heard?  Come along to our family concert next season.  If you want to sponsor us with advertising space in the programme or want to join, please visit our website for further details

Sunday Is Show Time!

It's a tough job but someone's gotta do it!!

A very productive rehearsal for all last night, never mind that England lost again at least we were winning our battle!  Many thanks to Adelia (soloist) for spending time with us for the first half we are very privileged to be working with such a talented young lady.

With regards to Sunday's proceedings - here are the main points made by Janet last night:

  • Rehearsal begins at 1pm.  Please get there a little before to help set up if possible
  • Please use the "South Door" (otherwise known as the toilet door or simply the one behind the church)
  • Please don't park on the church grounds as there is a lot of chaos due to the building work
  • As the kitchen part is not in use, tea and coffee won't be provided so you'll have to bring your own or pop over to subway or costa.  Tina will be providing cake as usual.
  • Please wear black.  No bow ties required.
  • Cases must be stored right at the back of the church (near the vestry)
  • Sell your tickets and give the money over to Janet as soon as you can
  • Concert starts at 3:45pm.

Rehearsal time is limited and we shall be cracking on with the Mendelssohn first.  As Sam said, don't forget your tap shoes for the Beethoven and make Don Giovanni sound as evil as possible where appropriate!

Finally, congratulations to the clarinet section who sold all their tickets first.  There is no prize, just pride.

It's coming and it is inevitable!!

We had a most productive rehearsal last night.  A lot of it was beginning to sound just right! A special mention goes out to the cello section who could have easily set off the school fire alarms with the smoke coming off their fingers in that gloriously hideous section of movement three!

Aside from those iconic Mozart chords which never grow boring,  the concert itself is fast upon us!  This is just a little reminder that we all need to fund our two tickets and £20 will go along way to keeping our lovely group above water.  Try and get family and friends along.  We are always well subscribed but every little helps!

It's the all focus on the Mendelssohn next rehearsal and we look forward to working with the very talented Adelia Myslov.  See our website for more details by clicking on the link below:

Reminder!

Remember it is the string rehearsal on Thursday. It is always satisfying to have a good old note bash with Sam before the woodwind and brass join in!

Also an update on the Aylesbury fundraiser - the total has hit the £3,500 mark and still going.  Well done to all involved there.

If you have any news you want to share with Trinity Camerata no matter how trivial, unrelated or relevant drop me an email and I'll do the rest - photographs to go with would be fabulous!

I look forward to hearing from you all!
